Dharma Class

Lately I've been giving discourses at Akshobya Buddhist Centre about Buddhist ethics, views, and practices and their applicability to daily life. One of my essential wishes is to be of benefit to as many people as possible. I feel as though this wish is guiding me to give an online discourse.

Tonight at 7:30pm Mountain Standard Time, 9:30pm Eastern, I'll be available in IRC chatroom #Dharma to answer any and all questions about Buddhism and it's ethics, views, practices, and their applicability to daily life. If you are interested in participating, point your IRC client to irc.shroomery.org, and join #Dharma.

I will not engage in debates or be put in a position to defend Buddhist views. I'm neither qualified nor interested in upholding Buddhist views against others as part of this session. The function of this IRC session will be to provide and inlet for those who have demonstrated an interest in Buddhism, and who would like an interactive means of investigation. This is an excellent opportunity for everyone involved to learn something new, myself included (perhaps especially).

It should be noted that this discourse is in no way affiliated with Akshobya Buddhist Centre, and that I've not been instructed by any organization to solicit people into any Buddhist institution. Though, as a part of an international Buddhist organization, I will provide information when asked if people seek further studies in their home towns.

I hope to see a number of you there!

I did not log the conversation, no. Next time, I will. In a few days, I'll schedule another talk, as there seems to be a bit of a demand. It will probably be another Thursday night, or Saturday afternoon.
