i am about to birth my first cakes into a casing. now i was wondering if the fruiting chamber emits any smells outside of it. primarily for the purposes of it not being found. can anything be done about this. thanks.

I doubt it will be detected. I can usually only smell the fungus if I'm trying to.

It really won't smell unless it's contaminated.

When you're fanning out your fruiting chamber, you'll probably notice an earthy mushroom smell. The smell isn't very strong and it's not likely to be detected by anyone. The only time you will have any unusually strong odors is if you have contams. Also perlite can start to smell after a while. Always work in a completely sterile environment and clean out your chamber occassionally and you should be fine.

Usually it does not smell at all..just put a glade plug in by it if you are paranoid...or hide your terrarium better!

its not strong enough for anyone to smell unless they are looking inside the chamber with the lid off and even if they can smell it they will think its dirty clothes or something they wont think Hey I know that smell are you growing mushrooms
