My family eats really early in the day for some reason, so I'm eating with them first, then I've got another dinner going on at a friend's place.


They made a huge batch of weed butter for the occasion :awehigh:.
I'm really gonna have to pace myself.

I don't burn that much these days and my tolerance is on the floor.
pretty sure I'd just get rocked if I ate any weed.

peanut butter or pumpkin were my favorite flavors to cook with herb.

I feel you. My tolerance is manageable, but compared to a good chunk of my friends I'm a huge light weight. One good dab will literally floor me, so I usually stick to flower - but I love edibles. I'm not sure which food their putting the butter in, but I'm bringing non-weed dessert and some wine, just in case.

yeah, I got out of the weed game right when dabs started taking over.

I can't hang.  even a tiny one and I'm dab-ilitated.



these days I take one rip of some flower, and I'm plenty high.

two and I'm uncomfortable, awkward, and silent :lol:

kind of a bummer cause I miss smoking joints really bad, but I just can't do it anymore.

it's weird. I would rather swallow a big dose of L or something than be "too high"

being able to maintain is so much better than hanging and just letting your tolerance get out of control  - and yeah, I agree, I green out and get the spins and have gotten sick before. I still get made fun of and jokingly offered dabs, but in the end I'm the one laughing because being a light weight is soo much cheaper.

I think that when you smoke a ton constantly you're more likely to run into issues like paranoia and dysphoria down the road too.

yeah I agree.
for years I used to smoke to regulate really bad anxiety I had, but in like '11 I started meditating a ton to work through some heavy stuff I was dealing with, and through that whole process, I worked through most of all that anxiety, and now weed isn't the same.

and I agree 100%.  I haven't completely quit smoking for more than a week or two since I was 15, but going from a couple grams a day, to smoking like once a week was a huge shift.

i feel like it actually plays a beneficial role in my life now though which I'm down with.

Making a pie is not rocket science but it does require some technique that can usually be acquired only through repetition.  I'm talking about the crust/shell whatever you want to call it.  Learn to make a proper crust and all kinds of good shit opens up.  Quiches, tarts, obviously pies.  Also pot type pies.  They are front end busy but then you're done except for taking it out of the oven.

Oh geez, speaking of lightweights, these days a few good rips and I'm done. I used to be an everyday smoker once upon a time but those days are so far behind me, and now I pretty much only light up when I'm tripping. And I haven't even toked in about 6 months currently due to potential drug testing...but yeah. If I smoked out like tomorrow off some high grade -- high probability I'd be floored.

Yeah that's what I'm worried about...the crust. I'll probably watch a few youtube videos to say the least :lol:

I used to hate pie for some reason when I was a kid. But as I've gotten older I've come to like it a lot during the holidays -- some whip cream on some pecan or apple pie...

I kind of get what you're saying.

I hate mushy fruit, so anything baked with fruit in it really kind of skeeves me out - the only dessert pie I'll eat is generally pumpkin.
