Here's a thought... Why don't we give ISIS their Caliphate?

It's what they want.. They fought for it, they have the land, they got their people. They hate us because we won't allow them to have what they want.. So why not just give it to them? Would it be so hard to say "fine, you win, have your country"

It would stop the bullshit. They win, we win, everybody wins, everybody is happy. No more bullshit.

What they want is world domination, and they won't stop until they achieve it. Syria & Iraq aren't enough for them, they want it all.

ISIS is just a miltant group who uses the guise of religion to keep in power. If we were to give them a country, they'd still be violent and stir shit up. They're not going to be able to stay in power otherwise.

Masses of people are easier to control when they have an enemy or just something to fight.

I was reading last night that ISIS essentially considers  themselves and their middle east wide caliphate as harbingers of the apocalypse,  there's no reasoning with these guys.

I say we do it. Carve them out a chunk of land like the UN did for Israel, and then shoot every single one of the psychopathic bastards that eeks a toe outside their border.

Of course, they wouldn't be satisfied with just a State - but at least it'd prove once and for all that they're a virus and not human beings.

The idea that Dan Carlin has is that the problem is that there is no one highest authority in Islam so no one can say what is allowed and not for muslims. The Catholics have a pope and what he says is what catholicism believes, but there is no one  "pope" of islam who can definitely decree that shit like suicide bombings and terror attacks are not sanctioned by God.

I think we need to publicly address ideas like "there's a bogeyman up above who watches everything you do, so make sure your meat is prepared in a certain way" because it seems basing your life around such inane thinking makes you psychologically unstable and we end up extremely inhuman and at worst, murdering each other over it.

Perhaps in someone so stupid to believe such things, there is a secret murderer. A secret psychopathy.

It also makes you boring.

Societies should be encouraging strong personalities to emerge where they can, if everything gets arrested by religion, which appears to be so to me, then we just have boring, easily manipulated consumers waiting for 72 virgins all their lives.
