I genuinely just wanted to know if you had a simple answer to that, I wasn't trying to enter into an argument about it. ZiG provided an outline of what he thinks in relation to this, rather than just attempting to cut down other people's arguments. In a regrettable moment of foolishness, I actually wanted to know your opinion.

would you expect a security camera to also catch a bullet in flight?

there were witnesses, dozens of them in fact and just because you only were told
to focus on a single video and told what to think regarding what hit the pentagon
it doesnt mean that there wasnt video, it certainly doesnt help you to gain an
understanding when most of these nutters lie to you about what you're seeing,
whether because they're repeating the lies they were told or they drew a
conclusion themselves based on very limited information

a prime example of the "it was a drone/cruise missile" lie, they keep telling
people that this is the entry hole for the 'missile' and that there's no way it
could be a jet




somehow they managed to miss the actual entry hole

In Afghanistan we taught Islamic guerillas to take down super powers. A $15,000 dollar stinger missile takes down a 20 million dollar helicopter. This kind of disproportionate cost to maintain a war bankrupts superpowers. Reagan knew that. He made the right call because we had no real interest in Lebanon and it would be a bone head move to get bogged down there. Its not what a neo-con like GWB or Obama would do though.

We didn't have to get bogged down in Lebanon.  All we had to do was not run away.  Big mistake.  The Russians quit when the body count got too high, not the dollar count.  The Russian moms saw absolutely no point in that invasion.  I still have no fucking idea why they invaded Afghanistan in the first place.  For what?  It's a useless shithole.

When the Soviet currency got to 10% to 15% per month inflation the economic pain pretty much caused a collapse that took down the Soviet Empire. Any similarity between the spending situation in the Soviet Union and incredible military spending in the USA is purely coincidental. We would never get bogged down in foreign wars that bankrupt our country... I wish we had leadership like Ronald Reagan today. He had very clear political strategy in every situation, a quality which is lacking in contemporary American leadership.

I don't know if we're in agreeance but I do consider large tax breaks on already highly profiting companies to be welfare.

The tally's do vary so can't really say specific numbers - but almost all of them show the same thing - corporate welfare to a tune of 50-150% higher rate than social programs in the US.

The companies/amounts vary greatly - one year the US was giving 13 billion to boeing, 2 billion to ford/crysler/gmc each, 2 billion to intel, 2 billion to nike... this year the largest collector of free public money is a spanish company Ibercola (or something like that) to the tune of a couple billion.
