minimum amount of growth for a dixie cup casing

ive got a cake that is starting to show some green monster, but is about 25% colonized with some myc. if i picked all the visible green shit offa it, would the myc be strong enough to kill the microscopic shit left? should i also dunk in a peroxide solution to try to get the green stuff dead?

i would use the dixie cup casing tek with verm to case. unless youve got a better idea

i know i could use this chunk to spawn other jars or make honey water, but i ve got 11 other jars on their way. im hoping i get a shroom or two to have at least a weak trip.

suggestions, comments, ideas all welcome

Try hippies bleach tec and put in a seperate container . You might be able to salvage something .

someone has salvaged cakes, casings before in the past --- but the substrates were a lot further than 25% colonization.

even if the bleach tek is used -- since the cake is only a quarter colonized - the bleach water may soak too much into the uncolonized substrate causing difficulties-- but this is just an opinion.

btw -- got a link for the dixie cup casing tek? someone has used dixie cups as well to fruit small scraps, peelings, etc.

The small cups do well to give you a few "free" fruits, and have had many flushes from miniscule amounts of substrate.

if theres 11 other jars on the way - you may want to consider tossing that one -- 25% colo and showing green doesn't sound too promising.
