stalled cases (maybe being impatient)

cased several strains a week ago. 1 case overlayed so i deep scratched, added casing material, and cold shocked the lot of them for 12+ hrs. as of now, 5/6 of the cases show lite growth through the casing layer. the 6th case shows lite growth through the casing layer, but the growth is kinda knotted and finger-like.
is this what's expected pre-pin?
in the past 3 days there have been little to no sign of growth. temp is ~80 deg. i've got an ultrasonic humidifier for humidity/air exchange, but only run it 1-2 hrs a day. perlite lines the bottom of the fruiting chamber as well.

strains are:
pink buffalo
lipa ya

they're all acting the same which tells me that my probs aren't strain related. should i run my humidifier more? are there any other ways to help a case to pin?

thanks ahead of time for your suggestions,

btw, if anyone would like pics to help with my descriptions, leave a note and i'll get them up for ya.

Do a bit of searching and you'll find dozens of questions like yours about casing. Best things to do is be patient. From what you've said they should be ok. Keep the temp around 74-76?F and give them plenty of fresh air. You probably don't need the perlite AND the humidifier. Don't forget that the casing layer is what supplies the moisture. Many people don't use anything, they just put the casings the chamber and air regularly.

Be patient and you will be duly rewarded.
