There is something about the Prophet marrying a young girl after his former wife died, because he lived in a tribal place so you know how that goes, and then he did not consumate the marriage for years until she was ready. This is presented as a moral thing to do.

There is also a bit about him waging war against his former tribe who rejected him. But they attacked his city, so I don't know if that is what you ment. It was the Prophet and the first Muslims standing side by side with Christians and Jews against a force of polytheistic warlords.. maybe you got confused?

Let's be fair, Zap. Like Christianity, Judaism, etc, there are many sects of Islam. In remote place here in Tennessee there are still snake handlers. I've been to a few Episcopal and Methodist services and there weren't any snakes anywhere.

The problem isn't Islam per se but with all these radicalized splinter groups. The small town I live in has a sizable Muslim population, and there have been nobody shot or bombed. I'm certainly not defending the actions of the ISIS brutes by any means however, but they're not all bad you know.
