I'm gonna go with tolerance. Any dose I've taken of any type of opiate (just about everything besides heroin) has resulted in nothing but extreme migraines, vomiting, nausea, and insomnia. Literally no good feelings, ever. Could even be an allergy, which is my best bet. My dad and grandmother get the same thing apparently.

That's not as uncommon as you'd think especially since most people here who post about allergic reactions to opiates also have family members with the same thing.

The unfortunate part of using them for chronic pain is that I'd really need a monster dose of oxymorphone/fentanyl if I needed surgery or had an extreme injury.

only time i'd do opium is if I went back in time and was in a fancy oriental opium parlour and it was all smokey and everything was soft.. i'd have a pipe and some oriental woman would light it for me and pat my head...

I thought it was pretty rare but I could be wrong. I was administered tons of morphine after a pretty gruesome surgery I had on my stomach and it just made me throw up a lot, literally was 100% sober - the nurses couldn't believe it.
