Awesome find Pat!
I found a squirrel earlier this year. Lil dude was trippin in the middle of the road. Ran right up my arm. He was a little older, had his bushy tail. I gave him some bread and unsalted nuts.

He only ended up staying the night. I got him outside and running around then let him go in the woods near some giant oaks next to the river. It was tough, i was pretty attached already. I named him Kenny.

Sounds like you might be making some long term friends.
Sounds like fun, man. Those things crawl all over you, is so fucking adorable.

Right now the squirrels are outside in the shade. it's 25ish degrees, perfect day. They eat like crazy and drink water like crazy too.

I got a good feeling about these 2.

That sounds pretty cold, maybe speak in real degrees and not that international stuff noone gets

I believe that I have successfully conditioned my baby squirrels to eat on command.

Good old Pavlov. The fucker torture hundreds of dogs, but something good came form it.

Everytime I feed the squirrels, I rinse their mouth when they are done and pour warm water on their backs and I cup my hands so it makes them a little bath. They fucking love the warm water. They wiggle their tails the second I turn on the tap.

So What I did is, after every feeding, I give em a bath, dry them off and bring them back to their boxes and they are wiggling their tails in hapiness.

When they don't want to eat, I simply turn on the tap so theye hear it, and suddenly they open their mouths to drink. It's cute.

So that's one problem solved....

Well guys its official..... They are all dead........... :frown::frown::frown::frown::frown::frown:


They didn't survive the night. I woke up and found them dead. I should have left them under the god damn tree....

I added a week to their lives. At least I can say that...

Sorry for you loss man.

Nature ran its course. They were destined to die from day one.

They didnt get the priveledge of being eatin by a predator, but atleast now the bugs and scavengers will have a nice meal.

welp, that's a major bummer.  Waddaya gonna do with em?  Bury for mother nature, flush em', toss em for another animal to thrive off of or sustain your own life?  You could practice your taxidermy and have them around forever..

Sucks patlal, but it comes with trying to help abandoned babies. Sometimes they pull through, and other times they don't. It really does suck.

Sorry to hear about the news Pat. Taking a chance on bringing em back doesen't always work out, espicially after a rough fall or somethin. But you gave it your all and im sure you learned alot. Dems guys were probably greatful.
