 Incredible artist I never knew about until now

I work at at this art/ custom framing shop, and there was this little art news kinda of magazine, so i was just flipping through, and saw a couple pieces that were badass, and there was a website listed, so i checked it out when i got home. Rob Gonsalves. Now one of my new favorite artists almost up there with Dali etc. here's the link, tell me what you people think too.

That artist is pretty cool, ever heard of M.C. Escher...if not he'll probably be one of your favorites to check out some of his work.

yea, he is definitely Escher influenced, theres no denying that. I like how he's very detailed though, and he depicts actual realistic subject matter. Escher has a more abstract, surreal feel to it, and a lot of tessellation use, which is cool.
Conclusion? both M.C. Escher, and the predecessor he influenced (Rob) are badass, and remarkable artists.
I also really like Alex Grey too. Damn, I love a lot of artists. Too many to name.

It's kinda like Escher meets Magritte, I like it.

Yeah, Magritte is some really good stuff. Simple, strange and silly.
