I've seen a painting of his, and it was kind of heaven and hell. the creatures in hell always scared me as a child.

I saw one of Dany Gomez's flash movies with a shpongle track playing along with it. it blew my mind some of the morphing tricks he did. "woah those are cats!"
I see awesome art everywhere, but usually don't pick up a name to go with it.
i do like Escher alot though

Gustave Dore.
He did the artwork that I guess is considered THE artwork for Dante's Divine Comedy. It was shown in the library scene in the movie Seven. He also did The Bible and Paradise Lost among others. Some amazing stuff.
