Where can I find out what kind of mushrooms will grow outdoors in my area?

BTW, I live in the Midwestern US (Iowa, Missouri, Illinois). I have azureacens and pan mexs'. i'm pretty sure its too cold up here to get them to survive an iowan winter, but I think about any shroom will grow here (summer is humid and normally 75-95 degrees f, constant high humidity) but I could be wrong...

your question has nothing to do with mushroom hunting, but to answer, your mushrooms will grow outdoors at any time that the weather conditions are comprable to the growth parameters for the species you are growing. this is not hard to figure out.

Attn PWN hunters: If you should come across a bluing Psilocybe matching P. pellicolusa please smell it.
If you detect a scent reminiscent of Anethole (anise) please preserve a specimen or two for study and please PM me.

I'm a little confused by this one: pan mexs' being that there isn't such a thing but it sounds like your summer would be good for outdoor cubes. Try starting a patch during the spring. As for Azures, I'm not sure what your fall is like.
This really isn't the right forum for this topic, you'd be better off somewhere else.
