After telling them I think it could be possible to raise awareness of higher states of consciousness & perhaps wishful thinking but also induce them through writing, poetry, music & film. These are my psychedelic using friends aswell, my none psychedelic friends have found me to be crazy for years now haha. I also told them how on mushrooms my former self died and was reborn into a being of compassionate awareness.. they were like the wtf? Another thing I said to there dismay was that I could see Holographic animals zoo's being a reality sometime in the future. They do LSD & mushrooms far more often then I & they don't really seem to be talking about the same stuff as I do. I love my friends dearly but I feel them drifting away & maybe have lost respect for me.. ? you guys think what I'm talking about is crazy at all?

It sounds like you're very opinionated and want to express yourself in ways you can't quite put together yet. Perhaps your ideas are too farfetched to take seriously.
Take our good friend Nikola Tesla for example, his ideas were insane back then, even if they had been "what-ifs" of the future. But what do I know, I'm not a psychologist.

Big Trouble In Little China ! hell yeah love that movie haha
Thanks for the reply Oggy, what you said seems to makes sense to me. I was just thinking about sanity. This is what I wrote on the subject.
Sanity seems to be apparently contained within an imaginary box. To think outside of that box is basically considered insanity. "they" don't want you to look within, they want you to be submerged in the external reality. which to an extent is fine & dandy but to belittle the importance of internal realities is for lack of a better word bullshit ! This so called box is imaginary, it is an illusion, the potential of your mind is infinite!

I think maybe your language is a little too dramatic. The ideas themselves aren't really far-fetched or crazy, but the way you describe them is a bit. ex, when people start talking about "higher states of consciousness" a little crazy red flag goes off in my head. But you could say "inspires higher cortical thinking, abstract reasoning, and compassion"
And sanity/insanity is a false dichotomy. Thought, behavior, and personality are far too complex to easily divide into sane/insane. those terms can only be used as informal descriptions and are usually used in hyperbole, thus rendering one's opinion of sane/insane as virtually worthless. ex, "My brother is INSANE! He drank a whole can of mountain dew before bedtime!" or, "My brother is perfectly SANE! He killed many people in Iraq during his service, and he has chronic trouble sleeping, is dependent on marijuana, and hardly ever loses his temper except once when he beat the crap out of a man, but he was never charged. He gets along just fine!"

Man, do what you do.
I thought like this all the time, now I don't seem to have the time or energy. It can be annoying when people talk about this stuff all the time, especially as someone else said, if not properly articulated it can sound very random. Even talkers like Alan Watts can not make sense, though he is a master at his craft.
If you value the friends, try to see things from their view and adjust accordingly. If you think they are bringing you down, fuck em.
Psychedelics don't enlighten all people, and all enlightened people don't take psychedelics. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that what you do defines who you are.

Interesting, so the way I am wording things may be setting off red flags in peoples minds which allows them to go no further with processing the thought? If I was to better word things such as you said "inspires higher cortical thinking, abstract reasoning, and compassion" this would increase the chances of someone hearing me out. I see no reason why I cannot change my way of using words & phrases. In saying "higher states of consciousness" is just cutting to the chase, but perhaps I should not be simply cutting to the chase. Thanks for the food for thought. "Who decides whose crazy?" Also I agree with what you were saying regarding sanity/insanity, it truly does seem to be a false dichotomy.
Right on man, I will just focus on being me. I will try to adjust in my friends way of seeing things but at the same time I will continue to think in my own way, I wont push mine onto them anymore though. If they still have a issue with me then perhaps sadly it is time too move on. I should be enticed too my own opinions & way of thinking without be degraded. "Psychedelics don't enlighten all people, and all enlightened people don't take psychedelics. Don't fall into the trap of thinking that what you do defines who you are." Thank you aswell for the food for thought.
