IS your humidifier ultra sonic or cool mist? If your useing a humidifier you should not need to air out the terarrium the way that you do. What kind are you trying to grow? You should not need to keep the heat that high. The cakes are out of the jars...right? How long did you let the cakes colinize before you birthed? How long has it been since they have been birthed?

Have you cold shocked them? If not try that I have not read up on that strain yet, but if I were to guess, I would say let them go for a week or more, see what happens. It may just take longer than you think.Next time let them get COMPLETLY colonized and then let them go for another few day at least before you birth. You will notice they will pin MUCH faster if you do this. So let your cakes go for a little while and be patient with them. Make sure you get light to them at least 12-14 hours a day also.

Try cold shocking them for about 6 hours, if this didn't seem to do anything after a day or two cold shock them once more. After that, I guess just wait. This is what my buddy had to do with his first two cakes, he birthed them right after it LOOKED like they were colonized. They didn't pin for a few weeks, BUT, they did still pin and fruit, so don't give up. The rest of his jars he let go two weeks after the time they first looked colonized, much longer than he thought they needed, and they pinned about 3 days after birth. It's your call, I wish you much luck and success.

No, I don't think you need to, just let them go. Sorry I didn't get back sooner, I could not get back on to the BB. Was this just me, or did other people have problems to?

from what ive read and understand. pins are initiated by light,a decrease in temp., and oxygen, and 80-90% humidity. soo what i do is once they look colonized (like he said) give it another 48 hrs to colonize the center. then while still in jar set in in indirect sunlight. make sure all sides are hit by the light and that it doesnt turn blue or cook. (i read in some post some where that the jars shouldnt be hot to the touch-extra info) leave in light for like 5-6 hrs. then birth. let it get like 10 mins of clean room air. then put it into terrium and remember to keep some light(some people get fancy with different lights but i like indirect sun) shining on them. and wait. i am also growing cams, its my first batch of cams but what i just described worked WELL for my cased eq's
