Ok do i just wait for them to start to pin in the jars or should i birth them and place them into my container and let them pin?? I am lost on this because of different thoughts from different people.


Any help will be greatly appreciated

Some strains need more time to develope pins than others.
Pins need fresh air tho, so i say placing them in your terrarium after all the inside of the cake is 100% colonized is better. Just make shure you give them another week or so to let them colonize in the centre..

they were inclonated or however its spelled lol on the 6th of this moth so you still think i should let them sit for another week???

So they are 10 days into it.....

How long ago did they look fully colonised though? You are meant to leave them for a week from *then*. A week after that they are ready to birth, you don't have to wait for pins.

ok they have been like this pic below for like 5 days or more which is very fast from what ive heard


so i think that they are ready but im not ann experienced shroomologist and im looking for advice should i toss one of them in and save the other 2 to see what happens or what??

When the cake is 100% colonized from the outside it's also fully colonized from the inside.
As it is 100% give it a cold-shock and put it in your terrarium, pins will show up soon :wink:

Ok as for the cold shock i have left it in the fridge over night then placed it in indirect light for 3 hours then put it back into a dark pantry now is it time to birth my precious child?????

And as far as the one goes i have the other two cakes in the bottom drawer of my fridge in the dark should they not be in there if i dont want them to pin yet?? Im tryna test one to make sure i can do this before i lose them due to lack of experience
