Sounds promising im very open minded so I'll probably find some love for EDM. The whole reminder that its in a parking lot made me pessimistic about the whole thing. Im just gonna go and have a good time no matter what.

yeah parking lot fests are weird. its nice solid flat ground for dancing but thats the only positive

So EDC sucked. I took mushrooms and realized what this festival is about and I was absolutely disgusted. Sure I hooked up with a few females and sure I danced around with friends and enjoyed myself at some moments, but the overall festival is trash. It sickens me how the youth of this country is giving into the whole "make money and get fucked up scene". These festivals are promoting capitalism and self indulgence in drugs like MDMA and weed as well as alcohol. These parties are designed to make us not give a fuck about the worlds problems and through out the whole thing there were subliminal messages on how America is the shit and how corporations are the shit. Everyone there was extremely drunk and was extremely fucked up on fake molly. Everyone was full on retarded and being around tweaking people who are drunk while I was on mushrooms was just.. weird. There were beer cans everywhere, you couldn't dance without tripping on one of the damn things. I got pick pocketed several times. I even caught one guys hands in my book bag and gave him an angry look. He saw my pupils and backed down. The drug pat down was complete bullshit and the ID check was bullshit as well. These festivals want you to come in and get fucked up. They want to narrow the minds of young individuals. There was no message of peace and love being spread it was all "fuck this" or "fuck that". It was just a nasty place to be. No sense of community, no peace, no love.. It was just emptiness. People filling the voids in their lives up with alcohol and "molly". There was no promotion of the use of psychedelic drugs, just drugs that make you artificially happy and not give a fuck about anything or anyone but yourself. I will never go to EDC again.

While I have never done fake molly, I do enjoy drinking and tripping and MDMA.  You should have looked for legit heads, they are always around.  But I get what you mean 99% of the EDM scene is retards.  It is why I hate electronic music.

yeah like i said, edc crowds are fake as fuck and it just makes me sad when im tripping to see so many fake ass people

theres way better festivals out there dude. dont let one of the shittiest festivals out there deter you from other festivals. edc sucks and everyone who goes to fests on the reg knows it


well i hope u got to see bassnectar, the vids i saw of him looked pretty ridiculous

you act like electronic music and edm are the same thing. they arent

like totally different scenes at this point


i guarantee the only legit heads at edc were at bassnectars set. and even then there were only so many. most bassheads wont go anywhere near edc

Everyone enjoys drinking,smoking weed, tripping and doing MDMA. All of these things feel good. The thing is that these festivals are promoting doing these things (besides tripping) to the youth of the country in order to narrow our minds from what is really going on in the world. They are using the drugs as a weapon. The provide a space for us in which we can indulge on a bunch of drugs and just go all out. Its all a distraction man its the illusion of being free spirited but you can't leave the festival. You are limited to a big parking lot where anything goes for the night. Its genius if you think about it. Give the youth what they want (Drugs and Sex) and no one can rebel.

but not all electronic music is EDM. edm is its own genre at this point. its not an umbrella term anymore

That sounds awesome man. I do have a slight appreciation for the music now. Not something i'd listen to at home but there is definitely a time and a place for that. I learned that there are some people who legitimately are fans of the music there, but most of the people are there to get fucked up and self indulge. This music is being exploited if you ask me.

first time i went to an all edm fest i was like "uhhhhh wheres all the acid?". like i was so confused

people at those fests just dont really care about tripping. these people are mostly shallow fucks there for ALL the wrong reasons

I was not able to go but if I ever went to a show and didn't hear someone looking for doses or selling doses within 5 minutes of being there I would feel lost and wanna leave haha.

and yeah doobie. acid isnt super popular at edm fests unless youre at the dubstep/bass music stage
