How is EDC?

Hey everyone. My friend wants to go to EDC this weekend and I'm down but there are some problems. I don't like electronic music and going last minuet means I have to run around buying acid and MDMA on a tight schedule. My family is going away this weekend and I am thinking about sitting at home and eating an 8th of penis envy shrooms that my co worker currently has. Should I take an inner journey or go to the festival? I'm not an anti social person but I don't go out much either. I personally would love to sit home alone and explore my mind with some classic psychedelic rock playing softly in the background. It's the end of my school year and I feel like I should party because half naked girls and drugs are right up my alley, but there is gonna be a bunch of "Bros" there and fake mdma going around with people flipping shit. If I go I would wanna drop acid and observe the youth of this country more than fist bump. Thats the type of person I am. I've been to a rave once on 25c and was pretty disgusted by what I saw. (I guess im socially conservative) Idk there are too many reasons for why I dont wanna go. Has anyone been to electric daisy carnival? Is it fun? The only thing driving me to go is the chance that I might get laid does that happen at raves? Is it worth the $200 that I have to pay?

Should be a pretty fun time man, although lots of genericness everywhere. You don't "have" to buy MDMA and acid just because you're at a music fest btw.

I know but I would really like to. The music is crap to me so I have to be in tune with myself in order to enjoy everything else going on.

I'd say don't go to EDC, it's the biggest garbagepile "festival" imaginable.

Since you live in or near New York, just save the money for all the other awesome music festivals going on in the northeast this Summer

Mountain Jam is in NY in a few weeks. Also, Phish's Magnaball fest is gonna be in late August in NY. Then there's Peach Fest in upper PA, and Gathering of the Vibes in CT.

I'm hopefully gonna make it to all of those

Also, even if your stupid friends would rather go to EDC than any of the other quality fests, they're still worth going to solo.

It's certainly not what it used to be... watch out for 13 year old rave sluts.. but you can have a good time anywhere if you want to.
Last one I went to was the last time it was in LA, and then LA banned EDC after that one, it was pretty deplorable.. but I still had fun.
