Overkill or....?

Soooooo yeah lol there's 26 in all but these are the ones showing mycelium from 3-30 and 4-3 noc ups. Thinking about doing half pf cakes and using the other halts in some sort of mono tubs thing with brf cakes and such....ideas?

that's the amount of jars one could do in a sitting, I don't think overkill.

maybe try both methods and see which you like :thumbup:

I generally try to PC 74 quart bottles a week. So yah not over kill at all. I'd spawn them all to bulk. Next time use the short wide mouth 1/2 pints for PF cakes. those tall ones tend to stall at the bottom from time to time.

Thank you for the compliment nooberst.  I was thinking of bulk but not too clear on how to do it.  I know it involves coir vermiculite and such but that's about all I know.  I think there is suppose to be a layer of casing or something on bottom....then a layer of broken up brf cake mycelium then another layer of casing? I am under the impression that bulk growing gives you way more yields while cakes may give you about 3.5 dry grams a cake? I dunno...looking for simple and high yeilds

If you want simple and high yields click the second link in my sig. I don't know of one off hand but there are a few good cakes to bulk teks out there. Use the search bar and look up cakes to bulk or cakes as spawn. You should find something. Or just weight for someone more helpful to give you a link.

Look up a simple cvg tek, along with "best popcorn tek with pics" that will get you started with bulk than try wbs or rye or oat whatever youd like. Good luck man.

Fruiting as straight cakes will give you more like 6-8 grams dry.I would reccomend bulk though. For ease of use go with coir, but if you want to go the extra mile find some aged horse manure to spawn to. You could do trays like what's in my Sig which is one crumbled brf cake to one and one half pints pasteurized hpoo. You could also do a few mini Mono's as well. It all comes down to how much time and energy you want to invest. :pipesmoke:

I've used a fair bit of popcorn and I actually like it more than most people but it still kind of sucks and should really only be considered as a last resort grain unless you plan on mixing it with soothing else like wheat or millet.

I once made 400 pf tek cakes in one day off work and cooked them off 40 at a time.I knocked them all up with treasure coast and AA+. Id say pf tek in general is not over kill. but if you want to grow again id say try grain in quart jars you get much more bang for your buck/work.
