ARGHHHHH The Green!

Seeing trich on a casing of African Transki (Sp?) (corn cased with 60/40 plus) . My buddy took the green off, sprayed with bleach solution and salted. It came back 2 days later and after digging down, found green in the corn layer. Dug out 1/6th of the shoe box and discarded, sprayed again and salted. The rest of the casing looks good and the pin set is great on the remaining parts. Anything else that should be done? Is this a salvageable casing??? Any help/ideas would be appreciated.

I don't think so. The same EXACT thing happend to my casing. Even though I removed most of the green, the spores still took hold. I ended up throwing it out after 2 weeks of trying to save it.

for sure try to grow em up,then if they get to harvest just give em a good check to see if the green is on em.i had the mold and still managed to get a flush and out of about 80 shrooms only 4 had the green on the stem.just isolate it.

I think the green may have been beaten in this case. 4 days later, my friend harvested and there is no green in sight. Salt is the bomb!
