Obumble the "peace" president who has kept every war going including those with a negotiated end and tried to start many more, is sending troops to Ukraine to oppose russia. What could possible go wrong with that?

US 173rd Airborne Brigade Commander Michael Foster said at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC said the US would deploy personnel by the end of this week to train the Ukrainian national guard.

Washington – The United States will deploy personnel by the end of this week to train the Ukrainian national guard, US 173rd Airborne Brigade Commander Colonel Michael Foster said at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in Washington, DC on Monday.

“Before this week is up, we’ll be deploying a battalion minus… to the Ukraine to train Ukrainian forces for the fight that’s taking place,” Foster stated. “What we’ve got laid out is six United States companies that will be training six Ukrainian companies throughout the summer.”

The training will take place at the level of US and Ukrainian national guard companies, Foster explained, adding that “we have nothing above battalion staff level” engaged in the military training.

The current plan is for US forces to stay six months, he said, and noted there have been discussions about how to increase the duration and the scope of the training mission.

Washington — The US military’s plans to send troops into Romania and Bulgaria as a deterrence to Russian aggression could expand to include Hungary, the Czech Republic and Russia’s southern neighbor, Georgia, according to a US Army official spearheading the effort.

Bet the boys are stoked they'll be gettin' freaky in Ukraine again. Rapid Trident '11 was a blast and the Ukrainian soldiers are wonderful to work with. Hopefully things remain chill, but if you're gonna have anyone at the gates ready to engage in fisticuffs it's those crazy motherfuckers from the 173rd.

Anything seems better than intervention at this point. Intervention is just something that I believe isn't worth spending taxes on. Intervening in the first place decades upon decades ago was a mistake and it still is now.

I understood our reasons behind intervention in Afghanistan slightly, but we need to just get out of Iraq and Syria. We've done enough and further intervention won't solve anything. There will always be a new terrorist group to overtake the last one and any further efforts to try to "stabilize" the region at this point are a waste of time, money and lives.

This whole Ukraine deployment is just fucking unacceptable, we need to cut off aid of any sort to Ukraine immediately.
