MsgBox password error
    #21111604 -

My password simply doesn't work for my MsgBox because there's a slash in it. When I enter my password, it tells me it's invalid and part of the password pops up in the very upper left corner of the web page, stopping at the slash.

I think I need an administrator to intervene in order for my password to be reset.

I'd like to fix the underlying error. Could you please let me know the URL of the page that you show in your screenshot, where it displays your partial password?

And I'd like to request that each message in the MsgBox be given a quote feature.

Just noticed a MsgBox error. The message and as a result the web page got all stretched out and the only thing I did different was bold something. If you want to look at it for yourself, take a look at page 2 of my exchange with Zombi3.

Another error I noticed is that shouldn't it automatically go to the last message when one enters one of his MsgBox exchanges? Not only does it not do that, but it isn't readily apparent that one's messages even span multiple pages.

edit

Well, when you have a new message it defaults to the latest page, but regardless, there's no indicator that one's exchange is distributed across multiple pages and obviously no indication as to how many pages the exchange is. If one is reviewing his exchange he will be faced with repeatedly hitting 'next', not knowing how many times he'll have to hit it. And arguably one should be able to change the number of posts per page, just like in the forums.

Yeah if you look at page 2 of my exchange with Zombi, you'll see that the web page is totally stretched out (latest posts are now on page 3).

Oh, what we really need is email alerts for MsgBox messages! I find that to be an essential feature, which can currently be enabled for PMs by doing the following steps. I personally think email alerts should be on by default because really special interactions can occur over the Internet and it would be a shame if such a thing was prevented as a result of one user choosing to to not pursue their Shroomery membership (and thus neglecting their PM inbox).

Go to Account in the upper left of the Shroomery web page and go to this section:

Subscribe / Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts by email, change message notifications, etc.

Choose Yes for the first option.

As I understand it, a person can simply turn MsgBox off and then they'll never see the message you send them, leaving you to wonder if they're refusing to respond; if they forgot; or if they simply didn't get it. I'd say that's an issue. Methinks this forum should have read receipts for both MsgBox and the regular PM system.

How long is this gonna take?

It may take a little while, the msgbox code makes my brain bleed. It's 2015 and it's literally using "GOTO". I'm trying to address the password issue first so you can at least view messages.

Could you please let me know if message decryption is working for you now?

Yes, it's working!

What, did you have to get rid of some sort of overlap that made slashes create interference?

Great, glad it's fixed! I'll address the remaining issues in the coming days.

Basically yes, it came down to a slash not being properly escaped, and I'm really glad you reported it because it was a serious shell execution vulnerability.

Ability to add attachments to MsgBox PMs and regular PMs? At least for users who have a certain number of posts/registered for a certain number of days?

And the editable text box presented to one should one transition to the preview screen lacks the 'posting tools' (buttons above text box).
