Password Access Journal Threads

Has anybody thought of this? For specific journal threads that one didn't want accessible to guests and all users?

This functionality already exists, although it uses account authentication instead of a password to control access.



These options are available when starting a new thread or editing a main post in your journal. Let me know if you have any questions.

Do you mean like making a thread passworded so you can give it to a few people so the few of you can access it?

Or is there a way to make a thread and specify which users you want? That'd probably be easier than password sharing / drama but idk the code behind it...

Then if something bad happens to a user, you can block that individual user's priviledges.


Any of this a good idea?

Well - on my part I was thinking about putting up some advanced stuff that one would need to know the pre-req's for to be safe and so that way I would know someone had read the manual before pushing the launch button - but - I often see things through geek colored glasses and never able to think of all the probs or ass pains it might be...
