In my experience, the dessicant packs that come with food or electronics are really small. Dessicants have a limit to the amount of water they can absorb and when you buy in bulk, they sometimes have instructions on how to dry them out (usually in an oven or something).

Have you tried using a fan yet? What I believe works best is to dry the mushrooms with a fan first and then put them in a drying chamber with dessicant to get the last bits of water out.

pop's right the fan open air dryin is good for fresh. try sliceing the shroom down from top to bottom into to half. get damp-rid from homedepot.48oz=2.50 in fl. worth it.

Go with fan drying first. Then use the dessicant, They will dry a lot quicker this way.

You could pop them in a dessicant chamber but unless you have a shitload of dessicant in there the mushies will probably start to decompose before they start drying. Happened to a friend of mine the first time he dried his shrooms. Like all others have said, fan dry first.
