I'm getting my tattoo tomorrow!

Okay so I'm getting my first tattoo tomorrow. I'm so nervous. I'm going to have it on my lower back. My friend is actually friends with the tattoo artist so I feel as if I'm in good hands. I think it's a mixture between being scared of the pain and being scared of this thing that will be on my body for the rest of my life.

here it is, chances are that it will be a little different than what you see here, i mean i don't know what he can do but i trust him fully:

it's a faery. it's name is Boon. Here's what the book says:
The faery companion called Boon protects children from suffering bad dreams. In Norwegian folklore, this guardian spirit, called the fylgia, is a creature who comes in dreams to give advice or warning, often in animal form. These protective spirits stay with a man or woman from birth to the end of their lives, and then pass on within the family to the next generation of children.

Last time i saw one of those around, i had the entire apartment exterminated(while i was out of course :grin:) you'll probably be ok as long as the thing doesn't multiply while you're asleep..........RU SURE you want that thing on your back for the rest of this wordly incarnation? I'm sure there are much more aesthetically(sp?) appealing tats around  :crazy:

la la la - it's perfect. :smile:  i love faeries, i completely believe in them and so i wanted a regular faery but everyone i've seen has SUCKED teh big one. it just always looked stupid. this one is just so weird, so interesting.

If the story is partly why you want it, we should hear it before we say its a good tattoo or not. And don't say you can't tell the story because the tattoo will be on your back and if you spend the rest of your life saying it has a good story well you know how that goes.

Its a cool pic. I've never wanted anything as a tattoo though so I don't have a sense for what pic would be a good tattoo.

well the story - i told you. it's pretty much a guardian spirit. ok maybe not story - but the MEANING of it. instead of it being just a faery... it had a meaning to it, a job.

If you have a good artist, you will have a beautiful tattoo with your fairy, one of the most unique I've ever seen I do believe as far as the fairy selection  :thumbup: I hope you get this done by a wonderful artist and it turns out beautifully for you  :sun:

Awesome! Tattoos are great! I got my first one over a year ago and have been wanting another one ever since. I think I'll get my next one when I'm in Maui.

If you're getting it on your lower back don't worry too much about the pain, its a pretty good spot to get the first one. I got mine there, and it was no more than a little irritating. If you talk to your artist while he's tattooing you it'll take your mind off the annoying noise and the annoying sensation.

That is a super cute tattoo, but not cute in a dumb girly way, cute in a wierd way. I love it.
