DEFINITELY the sequel to I know what you did last summer, cleverly titled..I still know what you did last summer. Didn't think anything could be better than the first but boy was I wrong.

Haha, anyone remember that movie, I think it was called 'Urban Legend' that had the Noxzema face girl as the killer?

Also, on this page, people have mentioned 'Event Horizon' and 'Ravenous'.  Both excellent films.

No ones post this independent film, but it disturbed me more than most others Grace made me never want to have children, fucking dark.

I have to go with The Shining. It's beautiful, psychological, and terrifying. I always feel so bad for his sweet wife trying to reach him when he starts his descent into madness. That doesn't stop me from laughing like Robert DeNiro at the movie theater in Cape Feare every time Jack has one of his outbursts.

"Someone's gotten to your boy, Mr. Torrance."

You know Shelley Duvall earned herself a Razzie for that performance?  I thought she did just fine.

Seriously? That blows my mind. Yeah, I think she played a terrified, supporting wife just fine.

Plus, she's flighty and annoying as shit, kind of setting this weird dynamic where
you can kinda see why someone would want to chop her up with a fucking axe.

Slither
Let the Right One In
Ravenous

Another couple of underrated horror movies.  Slither is true horror-comedy and I don't think there's another one quite like it.  Movies like Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland are comedies where the horror elements are used as running jokes through the movie.  I don't think either of the two are horror at all.

Let the Right One In may be the best vampire movie to date.  Not your average vampire flick, it blew my mind.

I'd consider Ravenous horror, some may not.  Thought it was a great movie too.  Pretty funny in a subtle way, always ready to let you know it's not 100% serious.

Let The Right One In is amazing, I dug the shit out of Ravenous too

And although the sequels became increasingly stupid, I loved the first Nightmare On Elm Street

I love all of them, even part 5 (the dream child).

To any Nightmare on Elm Street fans, I recommend a documentary called Never Sleep Again.  It talks about the making of, history, and meaning of all NoES movies, with loads of interviews from directors, writers, and actors.  You learn so much about the movies.  It's like 4 hours long, and really worth it.

Man, Wes Craven really kinda went downhill a bit after that success, didn't he?
Not to be a Debbie Downer& shit but saw him on some cheesy Sci-Fi Channel flick.

I don't feel like ol' Clive Barker had any of his movies really done as good as they deserve.
Hollywood, or someone with seriously deep ass pockets, needs to do up Weaveworld, or The Great and Secret Show.

Truly the most 'psychedelic' horror novelist I know of.

P.S. Before you mention Hellraiser, I think that, of all the movies Hollywood is re-duxing,
Hellraiser should be redone with gritty ass realism, a la Evil Dead. It could be so...:heartpump:

(also, his artwork is fairly decent as well...)

Soup, holy shit, Weaveworld is in my top 5 books of all time, freaking brilliant!
For years I've wanted someone to do that one and The Thief of Always.

Black mirror is awesome. its technically not horror, at least in my book. but several of the 7 episodes of the show are quite disturbing. each episode has different actors and takes place in a different technological landscape. its alot like a modern day twilight zone, nothing is actually what it seems. the episodes never end the way you expect, and things always end up more insane than they seem at first

most of the episodes are on youtube, this is a good one. it starts off slow but gets really good. and will probably leave you thinking WTF

and my favorite episode. its less "horror" than the other one i posted, but its more disturbing imo, especially the torture to
'cookies' by making them experiance thousands of years of existance in an empty room within few earth seconds

Thirteen ghosts (the original black and white)

The Exorcist

Blair witch Project (unique in horror film making)

Psycho (not sure if this falls under horror)

Clockwork Orange

The Shining

The Grudge

Halloween (original)

Nightmare on Elm Street ( original )

Silence of the Lambs

Alien (original)

Predator

Terminator (original)

Lots more...but they are my favorites that I will watch whenever I see them on.

28 days later
the descent
I enjoyed paranormal activity the first one
Forgetting a bunch of good ones I am sure

I watched paranormal activity 1 at my cabin with my wife alone at night and after the movie there were all these bangs and loud noises in my cabin EXACTLY like the ones in the movie, it literally freaked me out.
