I concur. Beagles are a shitty dog to own as a pet. They eat their own poo and are dumb as a rock. So many cooler breeds.

They definitely are loud as shit. I grew up about a quarter mile from a family that had two beagles outside and they never shut the hell up. I'm sure though that they can be trained just as well as any other dogs, there are dumb dogs in any breed.

My sister has a husky that is full blown retarded but the husky we had as children was amazing. I would never have a beagle indoors, but I don't want any dog as and inside dog, inside/outside at most. They definitely aren't my favorite dog.

We had a beagle/terrier mix back when I was a kid he was awesome at hunting and yeah they do bay a lot the only thing with them beagles like to "run deer" Anyone that says beagles are dumb are just dumb. Maybe I'd best go to the humane society and pick out a dog that fits me and my cat. Fuck my asshole cousin.

Beagles are goddamn awful. Ridiculously annoying, terrible bark, and get way too carried away with their sense of smell. Love yourself, get another breed honestly

Pound for pound Beagles are some of the toughest mfers there are. you should get a beagle. They are so sweet. Dogs also like having jobs (like hunting) cause they love to please and be praised. It makes them feel useful besides just being a companion animal... If you don't have neighbors and enjoy hunting you should get one.

They are very sweet friendly dogs. I wouldn't mind having a beagle, i could deal with the barking cause id just tell him to shut up.

Man everyone coming in here bashing beagles, wtf. I had a beagle for 15 years and she was a smart dog and had no issues with her and I've met a lot of beagles who are not annoying. It isn't the dogs fault if they have a shitty owner. I loved my dog so much she was the sweetest thing ever.

Some people just have different conscious as you. I'm also wowed by the responses too! If you want a hunting dog, and you go the yards training, thats the dog for you! Dogs have a job that they do and when they get to do it, they'l find their center and be great.

As for loyal dogs, I have a blue heeler or an australian shepard, most loyal kind of dog ive ever seen :heart:
