that fishtank heater is going to burn the shit out of your perlite than burst into flames. It must be submersed in water and not surrounded by anything that can't transmit heat rapidly and handle high temps. As an experiment, plug the heater into the wall and hold it in your hand for awhile.

You're going overboard.

well then i wont use the heater.....i'll just stick a heating pad under it? but i need to know if i can have the cakes and the casing together and if i am still going to need to spray the cakes and need the spray sheild? i've got too many ideas on how to fruit and not enough jars. i wanna case, but i'm afraid i'm going to fuk up and lose everything then have to order more spores and do it all over again. long as i get one good mushroom for a spore print i'll be happy.

You don't have to spray when you have perlite. As for putting the case and jars in the same thang, I dunno. But I've heard that humidifying cases sometimes makes them too humid. So, yeah.

why the hell do you need a heating pad? my peacocks uncle keeps his apartment 68F and his crop did fine out in the open, if its colder than that, I hate to see your electric bill.

also the only thing he has for humidity is wet perlite, and the humidity level is VERY high, just make a tight seal on the top.
