Last fest I was at I camped out with this crew of dudes with big beards and tons of moonshine

My piece of shit tent had just broken and I was unsure what I was going to do so I happened to walk past these guys told them of my predicament and it turned out they had a spare tent which they allowed me to use for the weekend

I suggest a good hammock though sleeping on the ground is not very enjoyable unless you're shitfaced which I was

Bring good LED flashlights and literally attach them to yourself somehow for night time. Tie them to a rope attached to your book bag or something so you always have one at night when you need it. You'll be wandering around tripping at might and you'll need it. Just don't shine them at people or tents, they call it hippy mace for a reason.

Bring a test kit! Even if you don't need it you can lend it to people and they will be very thankful and probably give you free drugs.

Make friends with your neighbors right away.

Be generous. Give away food, water, and drugs. This is the best part of festivals. Everyone does it and it makes the community feeling so much better.

Don't be afraid to just stop next to people's tents and hang out. This is what it's all about.

I've been doing this for years.
I stock my Porto with the heady toilet paper(Charmin triple ply).
But, I always lock up the Porto that is furthest away from the main camping. That way your lock won't get cut off.

u can get those super high powered laser pointers on amazon for like 9$


when ur trippin, laser pointers are so much fun. u see a hot chick with a nice ass and wanna point it out to yiur friend? just put the laser on her lol.  then like at mainstage you get in laser pointer wars with other people who have em. sounds retarded but it can entertain you for hours

just look for a hot chick near you in the crowd and get her attention jusy by looking at the laser. u want her to see it and be like what is that? then turn it off and let her look around for a bit to find it. then keep doing that as much as you need to until shes like on a mission to find out whos messing around with her. then you can leave the laser on her then she can track it back to you and thats when you say hi and its easy from there. plus, everyone wants to play with the laser cuz its so much fun

you gotta be careful with these lasers tho. their super high powered and can fuck up peoples vision. and if u use it anywhere outside of a festival be careful cuz people might think its like for a gun. i try not to fuck with it too much

last weekend i was in NYC for tipper and after the show we went outside with my laser to smoke blunts and we were playing with the laser way too much like in times square lol, like tripping our fucking balls off at 3 am. we could see the laser at the top of the empire state building. i havent been able to find anhthimg far enough away that i cant see it either. all for 9$

just remember to laser point responsibly lol. its easy to feel like a kid and forget that it might freak some people out and like think its a gun

My advice is buy a tester kit. Don't bring your own drugs to eforest unless your feeling lucky or have your shit together. I went last year and saw at least 20 vehicles pulled over outside of Chicago with festiegoers in handcuff and crying while their cars were being torn apart with 4-6 cop cars per vehical pulled over. It was the most disheartening event I've seen on my way to a festival. Do not take it lightly. The state police hate this festival and do what they can to arrest as many as they can before the event.

That being said the security is a joke. They just asked us if we had glass bottles, didn't search, asked. Bring a sound tent and a canopy for shade. For being called electric forest there sure isn't much shade in the general campground and we baked in 95 degree heat for 4 days. And then on the last night a thunderstorm came through and broke a lot of people's tents.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I didn't see one bunk drug there, I had a tester too. I wasn't ready for the crazy amount of people. I said I wasn't going back but most of my friends already have tickets so i probably go yet. It's is a cool place really I just don't handle that amount of people that well so i probably just won't do much for drugs their.

for me it'd be going in this order: water, hygiene,socks, underware, t-shirts,food, weed and then the rest if possible.
Think seriously about having condoms aside, just in case...
P.S.: I also agree with ppl above when saying to aproach neighbours right away and share stuff - that really is what's it all about...

Definitely bring extra socks nothing ruins a good time like wet socks

And also bring toilet paper you never know when that will come in handy

No glass bottles.

Don't buy "opium".  Just don't.

Don't be naieve and think your shit won't get stolen there.  Lock up valuables or even better leave them at home.

Be patient when looking for drugs, they'll come around.  Bring what you think you need and let everything else be the icing on the cake.

Don't buy from nasty looking food stands.  If it looks dirty the food probably is too.  Find someone selling organic veggie burritos or something that has quality ingredients that won't get you sick.

Don't go with people that you don't 100% get along with and know are good travelling buddies.  If you have to be ready to be the patient one and make some sacrifices so everyone can get along and not hate eachother afterwards.

make your tent comfy, be prepared for rain, bring water and toilet paper, beer if its allowed, bring food festival food is expensive, don't smoke out in the open, don't eat random drugs, don't eat molly on the first night unless you have enough to keep you good all weekend and don't get to spun out. Have fun.
