Karma exists and is a present force in everyones life.
    #21118018 -

Discuss intelligently.

Everyone gets what they give, I agree with the idea of Karma. Though I do feel that it's not always a 50/50 cut. Some are more resistant to it than others but it's certainly present.
how do you feel about that statement?

I don't believe in karma in a spiritual way. It's the world reacting to the energy you put out and not some kind of heavenly score-keeping.

If you're good to people then they generally react to you positively and good things are more likely to happen to you. Likewise, if you're an asshole then you're going to end up in more bad situations and smart people will avoid you.

Do you feel karma is external or internal? It seems you are basing it's entirety on the actions but not the internal processing that is going on with the actions.

I feel karma tho

Pretty much this.

It's simple Newtonian logic, except only seen on the more subtle levels of a societal creature's grand awareness of reality.

Both: your actions are a product of internal (thoughts, attitudes, beliefs) and external factors (environment, people, events).

It's a multidirectional relationship.

Your external and internal worlds are reflections of each other.
Mutually so.

What came first, the chicken or the egg?
Neither; the environment to sustain life preceded both.

I view it as the illusions believed to be true. I feel it's more interconnected as we all are also. If a society acts out a certain role - eg. racism/homophobia, then the game continues to repeat until the lesson is understood.

Ironically that has nothing to do with the actual concept of karma. Karma is a religious concept of how your actions in life will affect your reincarnation, not this random diversion that has gained so much traction in the west.

Well it's funny how the acceptance of one can lead to the eventual realization of another

our actions certainly have an effect. i don't want to label that in any way, but what we do now, what our intention is, certainly influences our future reality.

i'd call it manifestation more than karma because it brings the power back to YOU. its possible to manifest your heart's exact desire by just putting that vibe out there and living it wholeheartedly. the things that jive with your desire will naturally attract to you and the things that don't, well, you will be able to see through them and cut them out.

so when you live thru the heart you don't have to be a slave to the "fate of karma." you can manifest the reality you want, right here, right now by giving the heart fully what it desires. anything less is a lie and an illusion, and you will suffer.

this is why i despise 95% of religions, because they see desire as a bad thing. desire is the ONLY thing that can bring you in touch with the heart. it's literally the source of all of your power...

Karma does not exist. Good things happen to good people, and good things happen to bad people.

There are successful mafia hitmen, cartel leaders, and gang members that live a lavish existence.

And there are people that are so kind that live in pure misery.

Babies are born with birth defects. Amazing people get cancer in their 30s and 40s and die young.

The stats just don't present a strong case for karma. But I understand it falls in the religion/spiritual department so people just make things up without any evidence and believe it to be true.

How so? Are you saying the guy who lost his MXE did some bad things and deserved to lose his MXE? And the guy who found it was so nice and great that he had some good things coming his way, like finding stealing someone's MXE?

This is a terrible example of karma.

Poetic justice happens sometimes, but I wouldn't call that karma.

Karma suggests the universe gives a fuck.

Reality being self manifested; it is without question that we all give a fuck.
Beyond this species, or planet.

No, that's poetic justice, not karma.
