Since mushrooms grow on shit, and many people experience death while on them, could the term "eat shit and die" mean trip?

well death and rebirth are great and wonderful themes, I think ego death is a proper way of saying it because it does die, but can come back by way of rebirth... if your a spiritual person or whatever... this can be a wonderul chance to reprogram yourself in certain key moments ;D.
