whats the fastest way to take game iso from one pc and istall to another?

the fastest way would be to remove your laptops hard drive, connect it via SATA to your new rig, copy the data on the hard drive over. some games will work right away with copy paste, like WoW, but many wont and youll need to reinstall it. youll also need to reinstall most programs.

but this also works for any other data on teh computer. movies, music, whatever.

edit: and you can actually boot your laptops os on your new computer this way. you just may need to update/change the drivers

Yeah, what Gresh said should work well. Just be sure to download any drivers you might need ahead of time.

its not like it takes any more than 2 minutes to remove/ install a hard drive from a lap top.

you built a gaming rig and dont have a few extra sata cables. lols.

there are plenty of ways you can copy the data over otherwise, usb drive, a network(prob not a good idea), or installing your laptop hd into an external enclosure and use it as a periferal drive with usb. and if you have a motherboard made in the past few years you should have usb3.0 ports on that biatch. which are very fast

idk which way would be the fastest, other than my first post of course which is the fastest way

Wait, you're just trying to move some preinstalled files over to your new computer?

Just use a stick dude. Moving files isn't rocket science. It's just 5 gigs dude, come on now.

If that's not what you're trying to do, you're not clarifying enough. I figured you were trying to move already installed programs to your new computer to avoid having to install them again.

definately just use your usb drive,

but ill just lastly add that you should look into investing in a nice one if you do a lot of data transferring, but if not it might be a waste of money for you. their basically pocket hard drives nowadays. very high speed and alot of programs installed directly to it will work from pc to pc. and you can also install a simple linux os to it and make it a bootable hd on top of that.

25$ shipped for 64 gig usb 3.0

85 for 256

just food for thought

What's so difficult about taking a hard drive out of a laptop? In most cases you just need to remove a screw or two and pull it out. It takes like a minute or so.
