Thinking about starting a resturaunt, munchies themed.

Calling it High Food.

The menu will be Epic, the prices will be cheap, and the food will be plenty. Breakfast, lunch, snacks, will be all day.

I like,

Oreo with milk
Spam and toast, mayo, bbq, cheese.
Cereal
Cakes and cookies
...

There are some limitations though like i dont want a bread factory running in the back making pizzas, something that large, some that a few microwaves, and coolers, grills, a fryer.

Throw some menu ideas at me. :msmummy:

Why would someone eat at this restraunt over others? You'd have to mark up prices of basic things a stoner can just buy at a store. What exactly do you know about the food and beverage industry because this sounds like an idea one of my friends would come up with off the top of their heads during a smoking session.

I'm a fiend for greasy-spoon breakfast diners, we're talking hashbrowns, sausage patties, bacon, pancakes, waffles, OMELETS, et cetera

You could base an entire restaurant on stoner-themed omelets, come to think of it. Cool Ranch Dorito omelets, what have you. :lol:

It's been done.
There's a food truck in NYC(?) that serves cereal milk ice cream.
If you have any Mexican restaurants try some Horchata, it tastes like Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk.

OP the idea is solid but you gotta serve things that people either could make at home but just don't want to or have time, OR serve things people just can't make at home.

But convenience store snacks thrown together on a plate probably won't do well.  Why would the laziest demographic in America take the effort to go to a munchy restaurant when the pantry is right there already, and a phone to order pizza if they're being extra lazy?

My highdea is to start my own line of fresh almond milk.

It will be sold in jars and the label will be made of flannel.

I used to work at a pot themed sub shop, like 5 or 6 years ago. They actually had great food, but it was a sub shop mostly. So toasted bread, meat and cheese plus veggies. Simple really. They had rice crispy treats made with all different types of cereals (like captain crunch and lucky charms and stuff) and Peanut Butter and Jelly toasted and stuff, but that was about as far as they went with "odd" foods. Everything else was set up like a regular sandwich restaurant (which are much easier to run than other restaurants ime).

I guess what I'm trying to say is that just because your going with a stoner theme to a restaurant doesn't mean your menu should be filled with snack foods that people could put together themselves with items procured from a vending machine. Like milk and oreos is cool, but it'll be more for the one guy who comes in really drunk and thinks it's a great idea to spend money on something like that - wont happen very often. Focus on the basics of any restaurant food first. Like what kind of food is it going to be? It really can't just be random stuff. People will go in once for the novelty and never come back if that was the case.

Open a convenience store where you serve everything instead and open the wrappers for the customers. Maybe provide a microwave so you can serve quick nachos and smores.

In Japan, they have all kinds of themed restaurants. Always wondered why it's not popular in the U.S.
