Hoisen sauce is great, I remember someone referencing it as the 'asian bbq sauce' .. I think that's right on. Oyster is definitely a must. I also got me some garlic chili, teriyaki, and of course soy sauces to go along with the other eastern flavors in my pantry.
This Lottie's Barbados Hot Pepper Sauce is real nice. It's a mix of scotch bonnet peppers, mustard & seed & bran, salt, tumeric, paprika, vinegar, onions, sugar, garlic, and a few other things. A unique and spicy addition to anything you can think to slap/mix/spread it in or on
I'm a big fan of the spice. I'll add some pictures to the Hot Sauce thread someday, but in my collection currently I'm using (in order of preference/functionality): - Red Savina Garlic Sauce (so damn good)
- Ass in the Tub Hot Sauce
- Tapatio
- Dave's Insanity Sauce
- Dave's Total Insantiy Sauce
- Dave's Insanity Spice
- Da Bomb
- Mad Dog 357

i picked up somethin nice at ralphs today:
"House of tsang wok oil" "A wonder of the orient, chinese style garden spices of garlic, ginger, onion and cilantro already blended into a tasty cooking or seasoning oil."
used it on some beef tonight that i prepared with teryaki, Hoison, cayenne and black pepper...came out quite tasty.

Oyster sauce and plain rice was one of my favorite dishes when I was in China. It is indeed one of the essentials
