yea katt williams was funny as all hell before he went crazy, i think his first special is one of my favorite comedy speciials ever. the guy just kills it and destroys that crowd

You know what's weird is my favorite comedians aren't all that funny to me. I fall in love with their personality and that's what really makes them stick for me. Doug Benson and Mitch Hedberg come to mind

Did anyone see Chris Rock on SNL?
It was absolutely painful to watch.
I never could stand him even when everybody loved him.
After that SNL show I don't see how he can ever show his face
again.

I really like Bill Hicks. I see him more as a philosopher
than a comedian though. Don't get me wrong he's hilarious.
Have you ever seen footage of his drunk tours? Not really funny
He'd roll around on stage cussing speaking gibberish.
Funny but in a kinda sad way.
Another tid-bit about him he was very active in alcoholics
Anonymous. I don't know why but that kind of suprised me.

I agree.  At 11:30 in the vid he describes his writing process.  Like he describes his jokes as nails of the voice of reason.

I can't believe all these other inferior comedians have been mentioned ITT, with only a few bringing out the hilarity of Louis.

But then again, I'm not surprised. The majority is often shallow and imprecise.


Louis CK is funny as shit, but he isn't even in the same league as Carlin.

I  fucking love George Carlin. Mitch Hedberg was great too. And Lewis Black. I love Louis CK, but I'm a little bit "over" his schtick ATM.
