The funniest living comedian by FAR is Louis CK. Bill Hicks was an awesome person, but definitely not the funniest. George Carlin was a classic comedian, but he isn't as laugh out loud funny as Louis. Louis CK was inspired greatly by George Carlin.

Marc Maron being the funniest is a joke.

Bill Burr sucks for his level of popularity.

Louis CK is the funniest by FAR. Listen to all of his albums. Hell, the guy is funny in interviews and on his TV show even. He has a comedic mind.

I can't believe all these other inferior comedians have been mentioned ITT, with only a few bringing out the hilarity of Louis.

But then again, I'm not surprised. The majority is often shallow and imprecise.

If you legitimately laugh more from those comedians than from Louis CK, then that's totally cool and is rightfully your feelings on the matter.

Louis CK has made me laugh out loud, involuntarily, harder and more often than any other comedian that has ever lived. :shrug: I'm not saying that Louis CK is objectively the best, but I am saying that, as a lover of comedy and a person who has seen the acts of pretty much all the comedians in this thread, that Louis CK is by FAR the funniest.

I wonder how much of his work you have witnessed to think that Bill Burr and MM are truly funnier.

i've seen all his stuff, which i liked less and less when he did a special every year, i felt he tapped himself out and needs to regroup. he's extremely funny no doubt but i find many comedians far funnier than him.
bill burr is one the top comedians in the world right now and rightfully so

what do you mean legitimately laugh? why would my laughs be illegitimate? why would you assume if i'd seen more of his stuff i'd think he's funnier?

i've seen all the comedians here and many more, i'm a comedy fanatic. there's alot of comedians no one's ever heard of that are just as funny they just haven't made it yet

how can louis be by far the funniest without that being a subjective statement? "I find him the best by far, he's made me laugh  more than anyone else i've seen"
