I had the pleasure of seeing Ratdog last night at the State Theatre in Detroit. What an incredible show. If Ratdog comes to your town you really should make an effort to go to the show. I found myself being right in front of Bobby 2nd person off the stage rail and was amazed at the energy he gives off during a performance.
Bunch of kids selling bunk white doses in the lot, I had growing suspicions about them because I never heard of plain white going around. $10 each they wanted. Glad I did not get involved.
I did get to buy a large djembe drum in the lot for $130 from an African guy who says he carved it himself. 13" goat skin head and stands almost 2 foot tall. I fell in love with the sounds this particular one made and figured what the hell I always wanted one. Ive always been a stick drummer and will give hand drumming a shot.

Anyway Ratdog was great!! Go see them if you can!!

Saw some plain white last year. They sucked.
Was the guy you bought the drum off of called THE KING OF AFRICA.
And did he says acummamatata haha ha

Ive always been a sick hand drummer and  I want to give kit drumming a shot.  :grin:
good luck with the 'Be. Theyre fun as hell. theres a few good djembe sites out htere you can learn alot from. I would post a link, but I just switched my OS from XP to'98... lost my bookmarks :frown:
