The dumbest thing I've ever heard was something that I heard recently, this morning in fact. My younger brother called me and explained some drama going on with him and a few of his friends. His friend threw a party and the party-thrower's dad's credit card got stolen during the fiasco. Well, the person who stole it ended up ordering $14,000 worth of merchandise the next day, specifically bongs(:ilold:) A few days went by and one of the party-thrower's friends called him and asked him if he could pick up a package from the post office. The party-thrower said okay and went to the post office and compared the tracking number on the package to the one they were given online. It was a match  :loldongs:

How audacious of the thief to ask the kid of the dad who he stole $14,000 from to pick up the package he ordered with it. :scumbagsteve:

That is by far the dumbest thing I've ever heard. What's the dumbest thing you've ever heard?

Man I've heard some dumb stuff. Hard to name a number one. A lot of the mythology about drugs is pretty dumb. This one girl that I know was telling me about how marijuana gets you high because it eats away at your grey matter.

Yeah, especially since it was $14,000. It would be different if he ordered a $50 video game or something but it was $14,000. That is a lot of money.

Two days ago at work, this women's car was spewing coolant. To the point of there being no more coolant in her engine.

My coworker said she'll be good for a couple of hours. I told him I've had small leaks in my own vehicles and that even with a small leak an engine will overheat. He tried assuring me that she'll be fine.

Yeah, I've had people tell me that they would rather do heroin than shrooms or acid. Their well thought out reasoning was because "acid takes ice cream scoop chunks out of your brain" and "the stuff that gets you high in mushrooms is the poison that the cow poop gives it."

:facepalm: I promptly tried to explain that if an ice cream scoop sized chunk of your brain was removed you would either die or become brain dead for your entire life and that psilocybin is the chemical that gets you high and that shrooms can be grown in other substrates than cow shit.

She wasn't having any of it.

I used to give a shit and try to educate but now I just point and laugh at them and say they are dumb seems to make them feel worse about themself then educating them with facts.

I once convinced this girl that pink lemonade was made with pink lemons. I also convinced her that the St. Louis arch was the capital of the United States. (she lives in St. Louis)

There's also some old Chinese medicine theories that I consider to be some of the most stupid things I've been told. The one that stands out is that to reduce a fever you should have someone scratch your back with a stick without any explanation as to why.
