Whitefly

I've noticed that there are a few whiteflies feasting on the undersides of the leaves of my new Salvia plant. Does anyone how of good *organic* techniques of getting rid of them?

can't really answer your question, but hiteflies really suck. kill them fast before there are hundreds of them :crazy:

make sure it's somewhat quarantined if you have your salvia near any other plants so they don't spread. someone i know got some on her Lantana flower and was misting them with a water/peroxide mix and would always check up on it to kill the little buggers. find the things on the leaves that look like eggs and smush them. they seem to have gone away now, so i think it just takes a little perseverance and they'll be beat.

thanks, i squished all the flies i saw and i havn't found more, but i see what may be eggs and i will try scraping them off.

I hate killing bugs, I hate killing anything on purpose, but i suppose it must be done if i want to protect my plant.

buy a nastrutium plant and but it beside your salvia, it keeps whiteflies and other plagues away. its serious!
