How to stop getting pop-ups in firefox (pic inside)
    #20523593 -

For the past like 2-3 weeks, no matter what site I am on, I keep getting ads that pop up in the lower right hand corner. They say they are powered by 'unicoupons'.  I'm using firefox for a browser. I never really had troubles before.

Anyone dealt with this before/know how to make it stop?

Here's what I'm talking about:

Check if there are any suspicious-looking programs or add-ons you installed recently. Some of this shit is straightforward to uninstall but in other cases you have to screw around with anti-malware programs.

You have adware. Get rid of that then install Adblock plus.

So how do I get rid of the adware I have? Is it just uninstalling stuff like Psi said?

Unless someone recognizes exactly what it is from the screenshot, you basically have to poke around yourself.

Not sure if this link will work but try this.
about:addons

If nothing in extensions or plugins looks weird, look in Programs and Features/Add or Remove programs in the windows control panel. If you sort by date it will probably be something you installed around the time it started happening.

If none of that works, you probably need to use one of those malware removal tools. If it turns into a big hassle I usually just reinstall windows. System Restore is another less severe option if it's set up.

It might help to look in the task manager and see the name of the independent process if it's visible.

Yeah that's a good idea too. Once you know the name of whatever it is, you can use that to search for removal instructions.

Reformat.

Adware will fuck you and you'll never get rid of it completely.

Bit severe as a first option though, sometimes it will be something that just uninstalls readily.

I downloaded malwarebytes and it deleted a bunch of shit, and the ad like in the pic I posted doesn't come up as often, but it still does a few times a day. It's really annoying.

Anyone else have any good anti-malware/adware programs I could try?

Do this
http://blog.mitechmate.com/remove-ads-powered-unicoupons-unicoupons-ads-removal/

You are using Firefox, you should get the following plugins:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/adblock-plus/
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/noscript/ - this one is a little annoying at first, but is THE most secure thing you can do to your browser.
You just have to click on the noscript icon on every new site you visit and "allow this site" to be able to run scripts/see pictures/have the site load at all.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/betterprivacy

Run a full scan of Malwarebytes in safe mode once again, once you finish all that.
