Do you live in a pretty nice neighborhood? I mean if you live on crack addict central then I would think this bitch is way over her head. But if you live in a pretty upscale community then there are certain standards you have to live by, especially if you are renting. Fuck, I know places where you have to keep your LAWN pretty much professionally maintained or else the city will fine you. It's really hard to tell without some pictures of the place to get a feel for what she was bitching over. But, in all honesty, I think it's bull shit and if you aren't causing permanent damage to the home then who the fuck cares how you live your life and what you put in the house.

yea i agree.

it's a decent middle class neighborhood. we have guys who come and cut the grass for us. so the lawn isn't much of an issue.

I was a landlord and now I rent.

The tenancy laws are a little different everywhere.

Here, I can tell my landlord to basically go fly a kite for them wanting me to move my atv, gym equipment, etc.  Its up to me when I mow my lawn as well.

At the end of the day though, a landlord could choose to end tenancy, with proper notice, for some made up reason that complies with tenancy laws.

So as a seasoned landlord and a seasoned renter...its always best to try and work it out and if a landlord becomes to unreasonable, move.

Here in b.c., leases/length of tenancy can not be enforced.  I could sign that I would stay 3 years but with the proper 1 month notice leave only a few months later.

Sucks being a renter and having to deal with that stuff.  Ive seen my landlord only 3 times in the last 3 years :lol:
