How much dessicant is needed in a drying chamber?
    #2035888 -

I plan on using damprid. How much should I use? Are there any precautions as to preventing the damprid from finding its way into the shrooms while drying?

us much as you need to get the shrooms dry.

damprid wont hurt the shrooms if it gets on them.. they wont dry right though since the damprid will be on the shrooms it will just keep that part of the shrooms wet. remove as much of it from the shrooms ASAP.

then continue drying.

as much as possible to dry? I can buy like 5 pounds at ace hardawre and i know pounds at once isn't needed. so, should i use like an inch an a 1/2 layer or so? should the inch cover the diameter of the container (that being a relatively normal sized tupperware bowl).
