I almost didn't talk to him at all for like two or three months leading up to this shit. When I tried to ask him what he thought I owed him for he'd either completely dodge the question or say stuff like "you know exactly what you owe me for" or "you fucking stole from me you piece of shit"

We never had any sort of disagreement during our partnership

Got ya. Well I think he's a drug fiend and is looking for any way to get money, or the more obvious thing, he's absolutely bat shit insane. Probably a bit of both I'd say.

I hate violence but if I felt every day like I'm watching my back, at some point I'm going to say to him, "If you want your money, beat it out of me".

See what he does, if he comes at you, give him all you got, break a few of his fingers if you have to. I'm not this kind of person but dude, this can be real self defense. Don't start a fight with him, but tell him, if he wants his money, do something about it. Be armed just in case if possible. If you hurt him real bad chances are, he'll back off.

I hate saying that, but this dude sounds insane and dangerous man. I'd be scared to step out of my car in my driveway. I am not going to live like that. If he's going to attack me, I want to at least see it coming.

fuck.....I think I'll just give him one last "fuck off" ultimatum, change my number, block him on social media and hope he goes away....

definitely keeping my car in the garage from now on and installing some alarms

Let's say for sake of argument that all of what OP said is real.

This guy sounds unstable and young. If he lives less than 10 min away walking distance I'm pretty sure he lives with his parents.

With that being said, he's a mind fucked kid who could be easily presuded.

If you're not a pussy you need to catch him out and about in yalls neighborhood and beat the fuck out of him.

Not hospital beating, but enough to show him you're not playing. I doubt his parents will care. If this is true, they will know their son is crazy and will know its deserved...

You then file a police report for insurance reasons.

You're on your own after that.
