Maybe you would post pictures if it were you, but I'm not you, sorry. I sent EdibleStereo a picture of it if he wants to chime in. I also didn't get a toxicology report, I don't know what you want me to say. Sorry that I was in a fucking huge hospital filled with poor people and an understudied staff.

I don't give a shit if you don't believe me. I didn't post this story to make every shroomery member believe a scary story, but I wanted to find out if it ACTUALLY happened to anybody else other than the urban myths. I guess that's out of the question.

I don't want to think about this event anymore so I will not be posting in this thread from this point on. To the haters, fuck you. To the people who believe me, I'm not lying so you're a bit smarter than the other skeptics here.

It's very fucking unlikely, as I mentioned in my first post in this thread and included several links as to why. As far as we know it's never happened.
HIV does not survive in open air for more than ~30 seconds or so AFIAK. So it would have to be a fresh prick. And one needle prick probably doesn't contain enough of the virus to infect someone. In all of the documented "jabbings".. There's only been ONE documented case of someone getting HIV from a "involuntary prick" - a prison guard who got jabbed and injected with a hypodermic syringe needle FULL of HIV infected blood from a prisoner. I think I read even in that case, it's a 1 in 200 chance. But someone jabbing a needle to get some HIV infected blood on the pinprick or whatever, and then jabbing someone else with it, its extremely unlikely that 1; the virus survives long enough to infect them and 2) the viral load is enough to infect them.

There's been these myths floating around the internet since the 80s. Person feels a pinprick at a concert/movie, and in some of the stories they are then handed a letter saying "Welcome to the World of AIDS!" or something similar. It's never happened though, that someone has gotten HIV/AIDS from a pin prick. It's the "AIDS Mary" urban myth..

Look I was originally one of the ones that believed you and felt sympathy for you. Maybe it's just a Cali thing, but they pretty much run a tox screen on everybody who is in the hospital and under 40 years of age. They've always run one on me no matter what the reason I was in there for.
