Does anybody know off hand how to get rid of that annoying "click" sound everytime I click on a link in IE (winxp pro)? I have started using Mozilla Firebird more, but I still have to do some things with IE. I have been just hitting the mute 'button' for all audio, but would prefer a real solution.

Control Panel>Sounds Speech and Audio Devices>Sounds and Audio Devices>

Click on sound tab
Scroll down to Windows Explorer and make sure Start Navigation and Complete Navigation are set to [none].

Not there... I tried that before posting.

Sound Scheme: Windows Default

Program Events:
* Windows
* Chessmaster
* NetMeeting
* Windows Explorer (I turned all these off, no help)
* Microsoft Developer
* Windows Messenger


And thats all she has...

Hmm.. I am using xp pro also. worked here.  :confused:

It should work, another way would be to go to WINNT/Media/ and delete 'start.wav'

Or make a recording of NO sound, and put it back in there as start.wav.
