Are you friends with your neighbors?

I don't know what it is but I've always had an inclination to stay very distant with my neighbors. I say a friendly hello or whatever when I see them but all of my neighbors seem to be friends with each other.

I think I just am afraid that if I become friends with them and they turn out to be idiots or annoying then I'll end up having to have stupid bullshit conversations with them until one of us moves.

once upon a time, yes all my friends were neighbors.

those days are long gone specially in the communitard i am in now.

cool neighbors are just that.. its nice when you need a hand or something like that and someone is willing to take 5 minutes out of their busy day to come by and help ya.

but ass hat neighbors that are on the hoa board and report ya everytime you fart.. fucking useless.

I used to have neighbors who seemed cool and considered hanging out with them, but then I discovered that him and his girlfriend were exhibitionists and they would fuck in front of the huge window in the front of our apartment building. It was hard to make eye contact after that and I was pretty glad I didn't hang out with them before that.

yes I was and am generally pretty social..i know a lot of my neighbors and have blazed/got fucked up/drunk and high...my downstarirs neighbor WAS cool until last time I partied with him and his friend..i almost ended up kicking his ass and I shoved his friend cuz they were ganging up on me for no reason..they bought me one of these

hahaha oh man. I used to have neighbors that were exhibitionists too. But they would fuck in a tub filled with white liquid which I later found out to be milk. One of them was a german porn star so I guess it makes some sense haha.

My new neighbors became my drug dealer for a few years.

Anywho, my new new neighbors are cool they blaze all the time but I sorta have secluded myself since this year.

Because i was young and practically married at the time and i kind of got the vibe that they wanted to swing and I did not. Not judging or anything but at the time it was weird idk

I never have, but I've begun to get to know the people on my floor recently. I think it's very important to have your neighbors on your side, for pretty much anything really, considering the nature of our hobbies.

i am not an enemy and they are not my enemy if that's what you mean.

i usually keep to myself, been with neighbors for like 8 or so years and i barely know them. i hear their parties and shit and sometimes i wave, but that's about it. i like it that way. although somebody from my next door neighbors poisoned two of our dogs, i still dont know who did it, because the lawn mower guys where there that day as well, but then when i went to knock on her door she seemed all suspicious and even said the lawn mower guys didnt even come that day, but they clearly did.. so now im thinking they used that as an alibi or something.. idk..

anyway i am friends with a few people from my block but they are a few houses a part, i dont really consider them neighbors,. all in all though, i love all my neighbors even if i dont know them very well, i still hear them talking from a distance so it's not like they're complete strangers.

because i am not sure if it was them or the guys that mow their lawn, that was years ago though, i still keep guard, but as of right now, yes i do love them.

I use to have some chill neighbors at this apartment that I hung out with often...
Then one of them tried killing herself because I wouldn't date her, one I lost all my respect for, one went to a psychward, one moved away, & one I have a strange friendship with as I no longer talk with his roommate who originally introduced us but still have business obligations with from time to time.

There's this old hippy dude I talk with every time I see him though which is pretty often as he's always outside smoking cigs.
