Hello everyone. I'm in a pretty shitty place right now mentally; it's really weighing down on my mind and I feel the need to clear my head and warn you all of this fucking insanity.

Last night, I was at a concert. Soon, I felt a sharp pain on my back and turned around to see this dude sketchily trying to avoid eye contact with me. He was with a bunch of ugly-ass girls, and I could just tell that he was the one who stabbed me. Obviously I've heard urban legends about needles at raves, but I never thought that shit actually happened.

I went to the security guard to tell him what happened, and the next thing I know I am passed out being carried out of the venue. I do remember talking to these other "ravers" in the concert telling them what happened, you know, the guys rolling with backpacks and shit. They were all terrified and the venue fucking cleared out. I guess I had a small panic attack.

Well, I woke up outside the concert. I have never passed out like that before; it was quite terrifying as I thought I was going to die.

This is where it gets scarier. All I remember is I kept saying "call 911" or "please get me an ambulance so I can get this fucking virus out of my back," and the security at the venue was too concerned with their public image and causing a scare to do so. Basically, they let me sit there without calling 911 until I was coherent enough to pull out my phone and start dialing. I hear this bodyguard say "shit John he's calling himself!" and I just absolutely lost it.

About 10 minutes later I'm in the ambulance being taken to a local hospital. I waited two hours before I got blood work done (crazy hospital, very weird experience) and then they put me on HIV/hepatitis prophylactics. They told me I was negative for HIV and other viral infections, which is a relief, but it is only a baseline test. I have to get blood work done over the next several weeks to ensure that viruses don't spread.

Obviously a bunch of you are going to be familiar with this urban myth. Please be honest with me and let me know if you've ever heard of a friend getting pricked (not just myths, but personal accounts). I've done a good bit of research and it makes me feel a bit better (HIV dies with air contact, there's only 1 documented case of this ACTUALLY happening, etc), but you can imagine how strange I feel.
