bleach smell

my friend was cleaning his fruitingchamber, and now there are some casing in it....He used bleach to clean it and the lava rocks and now there is a strong smell of bleach in it, is this OK?!...

The method I use is if you can "taste" the bleach in the air. If you can taste it, thats probobly bad. The method its pretty ghetto, but I think it works alright.
