Anyone else hate haunted houses

Im not sure what got me thinking of this, but every Halloween my family likes to invite me to a haunted house. They all go. It pisses me off because haunted houses are fucking terrifying.

Do people actually enjoy this shit? I know i probably sound like a big pussy, but i absolutely fucking hate haunted houses.

I feel like ima be flamed for posting this but whatever

the place i work at is haunted, ive seen a couple of the ghosts...theres a lot of them

I went too a local haunted house and recognized half the people volunteering because they were all clas mates , but I never been too an adult haunted house but I imagine them too be frightening . I like getting scared because as long as I'm not getting raped its not real

I occasionally haunt people's houses by hiding microphones and shit everywhere, then sending ghosts in.

The kind were people jump out at you and scream.

I fucking hate being startled like that

And nah not necessarily for kids. i think if a kid went in some of these things they would be scarred for a long ass time

growing up, horror movies were my favorite
i just love the emotion of fear/suspense

not knowing what's going to be around each corner

one of my friends back in college got caught smoking weed and had to do comm service, and he had to be one of those people who scare the kids in a haunted house

well he got high before it, and fell asleep during his whole shift and never scared anyone besides the last few kids once he got caught lol

musta been funny walking by all these scary monsters then seeing some dude just passed the fuck out lol

I hate 'em because they perpetuate an on-going belief in something that doesn't exist. They're also a nuisance to look at. Like a 90 year old woman in a coma that can't remember anything but an atrocious amount of money is somehow being justified to be spent on keeping her alive, meanwhile a fraction of the money being wasted on her could feed a hundred starving children.

Seeing a haunted house is like looking at a church... just a nuisance to look at.

i hate real, supposedly, haunted houses and places..

my friends use to drag me to bunch of random sketchy as places. a haunted house, although i dont like people jumping out and scaring me i wouldn't mind going into one. but then again, i haven't been to one in like 10 or more years.. never even been to knotts scary farm either, or six flags and shit.

Yah i went into one at six flags and it didnt bother me. I went to this one called folklore or some shit that was 18+ and holy fuck never again. They make me feel like a little bitch :lol:

One of them was 18+. I think it was folklore... Im not sure. It was a few years ago

I love haunted houses, there is a real one out by me, I'm not certain of the truth of the story behind it, but supposedly the farmer went crazy and tortured then killed his wife and three kids there around early 1900.

Its a two story house out in the middle of a cornfield,  the house sits probably 400 yards from the road way back in this huge cornfield,  you can't even see the house from the road when the corn is up. There an old out building on the property too, but I haven't dared to walk inside that yet because it's so old and ready to cave in anytime, supposedly the out building is where he skinned his wife alive then dismembered her.

The house is falling to pieces and is fairly dangerous to walk around in, you have to be really careful where you step or fall through the floor. There's nothing in the house just some broken up rotted table and chairs. But its definitely creepy inside, you just get weird vibes as soon as you walk in, almost like that feeling of being unwelcome.  There's a crazy tunnel or laundry chute upstairs in one of the bedrooms,  it goes all the way to the basement and the whole length of it there are long rusty nails protruding inside of the chute, its really crazy to see. At the bottom of the chute in the basement there are some nasty stains on the cement floor. I guess the farmer threw his kids down that chute and then hung them in the basement. 

In the yard there are a couple dead trees and one giant oak tree that's alive, it still has an old wooden kids swing on one of the branches. I've been to this house 3-4 different times only in the summer, it can be 90 degrees outside, but I swear as soon as you get out of your truck, its cold on the property there's a really weird pressure in the air too, its borderline hard to breathe, its hard to describe. I guess the farmer slit his wrists in the driveway a week after he killed his family.

Its another farmer down the road from this haunted house who owns the property and if he sees you pull in the driveway he will come over and tell you to leave. Its crazy he hasn't leveled the house and turned it into cornfield.


And also this place is just for fun its not really haunted and they do it every year for the whole month of October,  its another farmer down the road from me who makes a maze in one of his cornfields,  its probably a 300 acre cornfield.  There volunteers that dress up and jump out and scare you and shot, its actually a lot of fun, its called the haunted corn maze.

Ghosts are friends, not spooky and out to scare you.
They just wanna be shown a little friendship. :smile:
I love my ghosts, they help me find my lost items all the time.

The fake one are never any scary,
only every fun if there is some sort of puzzle element to them.
Or like have a mystery that needs to be solved to get out the house, those are fun.
