Need N. Georgia ID (chantrelle-like)

#20104322 - 06/09/14 09:59 AM (12 years, 3 months ago)

Found on south facing slope on dead hardwoods.
Conical cap. Hollow stem. Golden yellow top to bottom. Attached gills.
Look like chanterelles but smell like honey suckle. Very tender. Any ideas?

Gerronema strombodes.

And btw, the cap is funnel (or vase) shaped, not conical. :lecture:
